Lithuania
When we think of Lithuania, we think of rolling waves that pound onto sandy beaches. If we're lucky, we might just discover a piece of amber. We think of well-tilled fields that adjoin sections of virgin forest land. We think of sunlight and peace. Most of all, we think of a people so indominatable that they filled a hill with crosses during the Soviet era time after time, no matter how often Soviet bulldozers razed them.
