Kiiu is a village about 30 kilometers east of Tallinn, not far from the western edge of Lahemaa National Park. There isn't much there except a few apartment houses, some gardens and some makeshift greenhouses for growing family produce.
Kiiu boasts an interesting tower.
Still, parts of Kiiu are lovely and bucolic. Residents can brag about their tower, an old building that's both interesting and photogenic. It was once a fortress, reputedly the smallest in Estonia, built in the 1500's.
